Dr. Jae Park

Dr. Jae Hyun Park is the professor and chair of the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), where he serves as an examiner and director of their Board, representing the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO).

He will be the ABO president in 2024. Dr. Park has received several awards for scientific and clinical excellence, including the Charley Schultz Award (1st Place in the Scientific Category of the Orthodontic Resident Scholars Program) and the Joseph E. Johnson Award (1st Place in the Table Clinic Competition) from the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He recently received an American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF) Grant and a Biomedical Research Award

Title: Various Clinical Applications of TADs, Clear Aligners, and Digital Orthodontics in Contemporary Orthodontics

  • Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) offer a practical way to provide anchorage for various types of tooth movement.
  • Treatment outcomes will be discussed using pre- and post-treatment records, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
  • This presentation will also explore how TADs and CBCT can be used to facilitate orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, treatment simulation, and assessment of skeletal and dental changes along with CAs and digital orthodontics.
  • Discuss clinical applications and biomechanical considerations of TADs and CAs;
  • Describe vertical, sagittal, and transverse correction with TADs, CAs, and digital orthodontics;
  • Evaluate pre- and post-treatment superimposed CBCT images when TADs have been used.

The Arizona State Orthodontic Association (ASOA) is a non-profit organization. ASOA is one of the eleven states and provinces that is a component of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) which is a constituent of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).

Our annual meeting takes place in December.

The Arizona State Orthodontic Association (ASOA) is a professional association of orthodontic specialists who have had two to three years additional training in an ADA-approved University Orthodontic Program. We are trained in applying braces, both visible and invisible, on the teeth of adults and children to improve their dental health by helping them bite correctly and building self-esteem by making their faces look better. Our members are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of excellence in orthodontic education and quality patient care.

Membership

All membership is handled by AAO. For membership information, go to aaomembers.org. The purposes of the Arizona State Orthodontic Association are to further the purposes of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists in the State of Arizona.

Membership fees have been increased to $250.
